To Joe and Christine

Joe,

Is there a more appropriate place to post articles we've "copied" from cancer publications? It seems that the main Board has become less of a support center and more of a articles about cancer center. Others, of course, may disagree.

Love and light,

Lisa

Hurting the articles of interest section, too

I, too, have noticed that people are now posting articles on the main board and that the 'articles of interest' room seems to be getting less use. I, too, think that it would be better if articles of interest were posted in the room designed just for them, so people would know where to look for what they need.

It is great, though, that there are so many promising articles lately. Still, it could really get out of hand if all the stuff from ASCO gets posted on the main board.

My two bobs worth................

I too would like the articles of interest posted elsewhere as i find i don't have time to read them properly when i check in quickly. I always check in to see how things/people are going but tend to skip quite a few posts and they may contain something i really would like to read, but at a more appropriate time.

shouldn't articles of interest be posted on the board 'Articles of Interest'? - then in this board, a person should briefly point out that they posted an article in the board 'Articles of Interest' with the topic title... again thanks!

Is information not part of support.

It is difficult items placed on articles of interest often appear not to be widely read.

An answer as suggested may be titling or a box for the type of information personal update - chat - article of interest - BC information etc.

It is difficult to separate the general from the technical if people are to be given the opportunity to be informed, as this is regretably a condition floating in a sea of unknowns. In trying to inform and respond it is often simply necessary to cite the original source.

From my perspective it is important to give people like Lani who spend significant amounts of time informing themselves and taking the time to inform us lots of support and encouragement.

First, I commend those who take the time to share the information!

It just seems that it often gets 'lost' within this board. Where if possible, to ALSO place the info in the 'Articles of Interest' board it would be readily available. As a newbie, I have found that there are many 'strings' containing valuable test/technical information but unless you read the entire string...you do not know the info is there. It is sad that such valuable information may be 'lost' or not even read...

My time may be short on this planet, and I want to get as much info as possible about this disease, studies/testing, complimentary therapies, etc. -
Unfortunately I live in a community where there has been NO local support groups (or they are very disfunctional), so I rely on sites like this. (and pass info along to those who do not have computors..or are newer newbies)

The information and support from this 'site' is outstanding.

I'm embarassed to say I haven't gone to articles of interest yet, in 6 months. So I would be happy if the research was in both locations. Bev
