recurrence in lymph nodes

Posted below that came up "To LYN", didn't really mean for it to come up that way.

My question is about recurrence to supraclavical and neck nodes. I have been having some strange sensations in neck, predominantly on surgical side, but sometimes on other side also. Two radiologists and two oncologists have examined and none can detect any enlarged nodes or anything they feel is suspicious. Sensations have come and gone in the past, but now have been present on my surgical side for about a week. I cannot detect any swelling or enlarged areas.

I will request scans next week--thanks to Lolly and Sheila for their suggestions on earlier posts.

For those of you who have dealt with positive nodes, what were your symptoms? I completed 33 rads November 17, but surely any side effects from that would not last this long. Don't know what to attribute this to, and want to find some answers.

Thanks for any help.

Hi again Sassy; When I've had activity in my neck nodes, I've had a "pins and needles" sensation, then the nodes do become enlarged and can be felt, and in my case at that point are usually tender to the touch. Mine have varied in size, from pea size to lima bean size, and the one just over my clavical was at one time as large as a walnut, and just as hard. That one didn't acutally feel tender to the touch, but my arm on that side became "tired" easily, and my shoulder was sore. Hope this helps, I think symptoms vary a lot, depending on location and size of nodes.

Thanks Lolly, it may turn out to be nothing--wouldn't that be nice! But I just feel the need to check into further. On original dx, there were no obvious nodes, surgeon could not feel any prior to mast, but path showed 5 of 14 positive. So I don't want to rely on being able to feel them before I do something.
