Some good news!

I had gotten my brain MRI on 10/3 and it said I had a 1.2 cm by 2 cm tumor. It was in the same area where I was treated with gamma knife one year ago for a 5mm brain met. So I was sent on for additional testing- a brain PET and a brain MRI w/ perfusion. Both tests said it is just scar tissue. I have been NED else where in the body for over five years but these pesty brain mets like to pop up (3 times). I do take Femara and Herceptin every three weeks. I am her2+++. I can breathe again and enjoy our family.

Wink Relief feels good!

I am SO glad that is all it turned out to be. My med onc was not worried about my remaining scar tissue, but then again it had not increased in size as yours had. But, he did mention that this can happen.

So, carry on with your winter holiday plans and don't give it another thought, OK.

Thanks!

I am sure you all can understand how relieved I am. It had been 15 days from beginning to end and this happened in August as well. I guess I have to learn just to cherish every single day. Now that I can breathe I think I will!
