Thumbs up Finally! Serious Vitamin and Supplement Information from Professionals

I was excited to get an e-mail from the people at www.breastcancer.org, that was announcing next weeks online conference subject would be vitamins, supplements, and nutrition in the treatment of breast cancer. Above is the link to their site, and below is a copy of the announcement e-mail. For any who might be unfamiliar with their site, their online discussions are in real time, but the transcript of the event appears later on the website, and remains a permanent part of their research news section. I can't wait to see what we might learn. Best Wishes All.

Dear breastcancer.org Community Member:

It's hard to pick up a magazine or newspaper without reading about the benefits of vitamins and supplements. But which supplements are essential, and which ones should you get from the food you eat? After breast cancer or when you're in treatment, it's important to make informed choices about your nutritional needs and to discuss these with your doctor.

For a discussion of these important questions and more, join us next Wednesday, October 19th, between 9:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time EDT, (02:30 to 04:00 GMT October 20)*, for this month's Ask-the-Expert Online Conference: Vitamins and Supplementation.

This month's expert speaker will be Lisa Goldberg, R.D. Lisa is a Certified Dietetic Nutritionist. She previously served as a research dietician on the Women's Intervention Nutrition Study, and has been the Dietary Nutrition Specialist at New York's Memorial Sloan-Kettering Outpatient Breast Center since 1999. She has been involved with several clinical research projects involving nutrition and breast cancer, both within the New York cancer center and as part of a national multicenter trial. She is also the co-author of a booklet entitled, "Breast Cancer: A Road to a Healthier Lifestyle."

The Conference moderator, Judith Sachs, is a health educator, writer, speaker, and member of the breastcancer.org editorial team. She is the author of Nature's Prozac and The Anti-Aging Diet, among many other preventive healthcare books.

To join the Conference, go to www.breastcancer.org any time between 9:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. EDT* on October 19 (02:30 and 04:00 GMT October 20) and click on the "Join Conference" button. No special software is required. A transcript of the Conference will be posted on our site by October 24th.

I look forward to having you join our Ask-the-Expert Online Conference next week!

Take care,

Marisa
