Can you tell me what the nurse at radiation said about the signals on the MRIs, enhancing vs. flair signal and what it means when there is little or no enhancing. Does this mean the tumor is inactive or dead?? Thanks!!!

Hi Kristen -
Meant to answer your question, but got to persuing some other things!

"enhancing vs. flair signal and what it means when there is little or no enhancing. Does this mean the tumor is inactive or dead??"

You have the right idea. The rad onc's nurse said that enhancing shows more blood supply which would be a more active area. Flair signal was more to do with what they see immediately around the tumor area, which may be some inflammation or irritation due to the radiation.
My "flair signal" adjacent to the lesion is stable. They say this is "good."

Hope this helps!
