Fuzz

Hello everyone. I have a minor thing I wanted to ask about. I am fortunate that my hair is growing back at a nice rate. (Some people even think it is this terribly short on purpose!) BUT, I have noticed that there seems to be light fuzz on my FACE as well! My husband just commented on it out in the sun. He said something about the drugs causing it. But I am only on Herceptin. The prior drugs caused me to LOOSE hair. Could this just be normal facial fuzz that is returning? Or am I going to look like the Abominable Snowman soon? Just one more little thing to worry about......

I had the same thing when my hair first started growing. It was like peach fuzz on my face. I have no idea why or when it disappeared but it is gone now. I finished chemo in March and just finished Herceptin.

Don't worry you won't be the Abominable Snowman.

Let see if anyone knows why this happens.

I got peach fuzz during my first tx, but related it to the amount of decadron I was receiving. I have been taking a lot less decadron this time, and do not have the peach fuzz. I don't know if either of you are are were taking a steriod. Anyone else?

You could be right! My hair did start to grow when I was still on Taxol. I was on Decadron before each treatment. My daughter has a very rare auto immune disease and she has been on heavy steroids for more that 3 years. Peach fuzz is a side effect for her along with many other things. Why didn't I think of that?

This is why I love this site. So much knowledge to share if we only ask!
