We are all keeping our fingers crossed for FDA approval of T DM1.
There is another drug called Petuzamab that Genetech applied to the FDA for approval. A decision is expected by June, 2012. Ask your doctor to check on that one. Genetech's website is

You can also go to

and do a search on breast cancer trials in your area. You might just find something else that may be promising.
Ask your doctor if you can use Gemzar with Herceptin. That might give you extra protection.
I know it is hard, but try to stay positive and keep putting one foot in front of the other.
