Steph is right on the "restaging". Think of it I'm terms of setting the stage for the next attack! Do not lose heart there are many options. I dont remember the criteria for th3resa trial other than it is a 3rd line trial with2/3 randomization. And there are other new approaches (Akt and mtor inhibitors etc) as well as navelbine and other chemos. So I know you're discouraged but it's way too soon to throw in the towel my dear! Navelbine has a great track record vs liver mets so could be a good choice

Easy to say I know... Especially as I head for yet another therapy myself after herceptin/xeloda bombed out for me too!

But it is part of the game. Hang in there
