I agree about "somebody" being rude. Even if a person is not particularly interested in the royal wedding every bride and groom no matter who they are deserves respect and wishes for all the best on their wedding day and in their future life together !!!!!!!!! Even though I am not British I wish William and Kate a good future and many years of happiness in their marriage and in their lives.
If a person can't say something nice that person should refrain from commenting to keep peace if for no other reason.
