Re: Kadcyla - Scotland

I assume one needs to live in Scotland to sign the petition? Is that a safe assumption?

And I agree. The Daily Mail article is much clearer.

My daughter, who has a master's degree in biomedical science policy and advocacy and a bachelor's degree in molecular and cellular developmental biology, thinks Kadcyla should prevent metastasis. I'm not sure if that's true in my case. Scan reports are not always clear about whether something that's lighting up is new or just an old site that woke up. But I haven't had mets in any new organs since I first had Kadcyla--"just" mediastinal lymph nodes (off and on) and progression in the lungs. I also have one bone met that I suspect is triple negative, so HER2 treatments don't help it. I personally think my last PET was too soon after my radiation treatment to my lung to give meaningful information. We'll see.

I hope it's your home run, Jules, with or without the immunotherapy.
