You can still get Herceptin off-label, regardless your stage; you just need to find another onc who is willing to do so.
I was stage 3b at original diagnosis in 2003, then recurred this summer 2004, so now I'm stage 4.
No symptoms so far, despite a sneaky brain tumor (routine MRI picked up) and an enlarged lymph node near my collarbone!
