I am a retired art teacher from VT, then moved to FL, then house got hit by Hurricane Charley in '04, moved to Washington where my youngest son (27) lives with his wife.My oldest son (30) and his wife are great adventurers and have just left their jobs, children's museum director, and health teacher, to go off on a 4 month backcountry ski trip through the US and Canada. Both boys have diabetes (youngest was 2 when diagnosed, eldest was 10). I live with a wonderful partner (don't think there are many other gay women here!), we love to travel, snowshoe, hike, and are avid birdwatchers. We also have a great little cabin in the high desert of New Mexico. I am in the middle of illustrating a book that a friend has just written...about a girl and her dog and the ravens of New Mexico! Diagnosed with invasive lobular bc in May '05...surgery, chemo...now herceptin for a year.
