Hi Joe,
My husband had a torn retina two years ago and then a half year later it ruptured with a lot a floaters. It eventually detached twice. He eventually had the same procedure as Christine plus cataract surgery. The gas bubbles used to keep his retina attached caused the cartaract. All of these procedures worked and he can now even read with the affected eye, although he does have some minor distortion. I'm sure the virectomy will help Christine and I wish her a quick and successful recovery.
Best wishes,
Barbara H.
