My bc was palpable. I am her2+. They found it on the mamo and looked at it with the ultrasound as I had a comprehensive mammo. And of course it showed on the breast MRI, which also showed a second lesion. And when I had my mastectomy they found a third. But I found the lump and went to the gyn, and thus started the whole train of events....
I don't think you can fit everyone into category there is always going to be the odd one.
I started my period late, I had my children early, I breast feed both of them for a year each. I don't smoke, or drink. I was thin most of my life, until the last 5 years, I became alittle overweight. I have no family history of breast cancer. But somehow I managed to be a lucky one.
