As an ER+, PR+, HER2+++ I appreciate the article... But...
WHERE is the open recognition from the professionals acknowledging the problem in using tamoxifen with some segments of HER2's?
From what I can find, investigation about this problem has been going on for more than a half-dozen years now and clearly there is good reason to be concerned about it -- yet this information remains largely unavailable to the newly diagnosed HER2's and only barely available to those HER2's who happen across it.
No testing is yet available for HER2's to apply, and many are still routinely prescribed tamoxifen. When will there be something provided to advise HER2's as part of the package insert, or at the very least when will oncologists stop routinely prescribing tamoxifen for HER2's? What is the use of all the studies if no one is able to benefit from the information until it is too late?
