$Expensive$
My first thought runs to the astronomical cost of a combination of Tykerb and Herceptin for any length of time. The rate I have been going through my lifetime cap for my insurance, I have to think this way.
But, I would not hesitate to ask for it since I AM already a brain mets patient (even though NED now).
It was my first impression that they would exchange Herceptin for Tykerb if Herceptin failed the patient.
As this drug is just becoming available, it will be interesting to see how it works for various people in various situations. And I hope that there will be some posts here on this so we can all see how it is working.
