Olympics, anyone?
Hey Esther!
HER2support has its own entry into the Olympics in the person of YOU!
Glad you had such a great time skiing and the Decadron did not hamper your style and stamina to any noticeable degree.
I, too, am looking at what alternatives may be appropriate for me after this excision of whatever it was. I did let my med onc know that I am interested in small-molecule therapy, and he is noncommittal without the path back. They like to go with the proven treatments especially on their success story patients. I imagine a re-Gamma is on the table for me if I want it.
Would like to stay in touch with what you are uncovering or anything that you find appealing.
I know how exhilerating skiing can be when you are confident and in shape - I used to ski with a lot of racers - did not race myself and lived too far from the slopes to really train, so settled for the city swim team. (Not quite the same!) One thing I never got was a pin for making it all the way down Mt. Baldy at Sun Valley with an instructor without a "touch down." I did it with my family, but that did not get me the PIN! A friend gave me a pin that said "Certified Hill Basher" and I still have it. Maybe I should send it to you!
