Now that is ODD.
I thought fear was an eye/ear- or anticipatory - response that we are born with. Part of our "recent past" in the forest primeval.

Guess the rats are born fearless.
But, yes, those pathways are familiar and it would be interesting to know what else happens to the rats besides a fear response.
