I too went to Sloan on a second opinion of both and got a DCIS/non invasive on my DCIS (I already knew the other was the real thing). I also had them do their own pathology on both. I figure they see more slides than a local cancer center. Their assessment of my IDC was not as bad as the local center and I figure they are more right (since they see more and it is a pathologist's view of how "bad" the cells look). My Nottingham for local center was 7 at Sloan 6 due to nuclear grade of 3 (poorly differentiated) versus Sloan's 2 of moderate. At least both concurred that the mitotic score was 1(a very good prognositic factor). Same readings on ER, PR Her 2 for both IDC and DCIS (which I already stated were in different breasts and were vastly different from each other).

Thanks for you input on this though and that you went to Sloan (who had a different opinion of your DCIS). It was comforting to know that they really do look at it well so I feel my DCIS really was a DCIS.
