If I had to pay for the year of Herceptin myself, it would cost approximately $72,000. We costed this before I knew if our insurance would pay because we were going to take a loan against our house to pay for it. Thankfully, Cigna paid with absolutely no arguement. Because it is a negotiated drug, the cancer center will be paid approximately $61,000 for a year of Herceptin and I pay $25 copay for each visit (which is now once every three weeks).
