Sounds like your surgeon is totally capable and you will be in good hands. I had my liver resection 3 years ago and continue to do exceptionally well. It is true that it is a major surgery, but the body really does have miraculous recovery abilities.
I don't know about you, but everytime I face a major hurdle and tackle it, I feel just that much more empowered. My resolve to beat this thing becomes that much stronger, and I feel like I can handle whatever comes along. All of us are making history here, and we will be around to see the cure!
You can certainly do this and then be on your way to NED again! I'll be thinking of you and wishing you the speediest recovery.
