Greetings from Tricia
Hi, Just wanted to tell you all that tomorrow(December 9) is my 76th birthday! My husband and daughters are having a celebration party for me. It's been 18 months since my last mets showed up in my lungs, her2 of course. I was told I would only have had 3 months to live if the mets hadn't been found (because of a heart attack!) and if herceptin hadn't been available to me along with navelbine and femara. And as you all know, it's been over 20 years since I was first diagnosed with BC. As you also know my PET scan a month or so ago showed NED, the third time in over 20 years! I feel so very blessed to still be alive. I am grateful for each new day of life, for the wonderful husband and family I have, and for each of you on this website, who have given me so much encouragement and hope, not to mention knowledge! I am off herceptin now because of low MUGA and Echo scores, but I was able to have it for 18 months. I don't know what lies ahead, but I feel only hope and faith and an abundance of love. Thank you, all of you, for being there for me and for each other. Have a wonderful Christmas and holiday season, and may 2006 be an even greater year for you and for the conquest of the BC beast! Love and Hugs, Tricia
