I was dx in 2000. I had chemo, surgery with reconstruction and more chemo then radiation. I was feeling a little over whelmed and my plastic surgeon, put it this way for me, she said to do everything they ask of me and if it comes back, I won't be second guessing myself. The second time around and they wanted to do radiation again, my husband really didn't want me to do it again. The radiation Dr. convinced us to do it. We were glad we did because when it came back the third time, we knew if we hadn't had it we would be feeling if only we had. So maybe talking to a radiation Dr. and getting his opinion would help.
