Just after chemo when I was doing radiation my one leg was swollen. I had to see my onc nurse due to RBC and she was concerned as she said that certain chemos cause blood clots (due to the heat she would have thought that was the cause if it were both legs, but this was only the one). A fill in rad onc doc was also concerned and sent me to to have an ultrasound of my leg and this showed no swelling. The swelling lasted approx a month and just went away. My Herceptin partner who is also on Xeloda had the same thing to, but it was fine. Better to be safe than sorry though as they can put you on Coumadin until it clears up (my onc nurse told me this).
