What a great 'thank you' Celina. I too am grateful for all of our clinical trial participants and hope to fit a good one someday myself. I asked my specialist once, "How come we have so many brialliant people all over the world EVERY DAY researching even this one cancer (bc) and have for years and make significant discoveries and we still have no cure or way better treatments (although i acknowledge that it is getting better in that department)?" His response was and I, despite my favorite conspiracy theories:) feel there is truth to this, "Up 'til now only 2-3% of the cancer population has participated in clinical trials. It is only now creeping in the 27% range. If more people participated in more trials and had been all along, we would be so much farther with this."
I think the people on this site are responsible for some of that increase. I really do. this site is so great about sharing trial info and demystefying trial experiences. Think of what a difference it will make.
