Hi all! Thought I should let you know I asked to have this serum test for her2 to get my results. I also wanted to get my Onc involved in doing the her2 serum testing on the other her2 bc patients. My resuts were what I expected . In a Normal range of 0-15 , my result was 6. oVER 15 INDICATED PROGRESSION. Three mos later it remained the same. I contimue on herceptin every 3 wks and have remained NED. I would encourage your Oncologists to give you the her2 serum test as recomended to monitor pts progress. Also Quest/Lab Corp has the assay test and charge < $200??? ;my Insuance covered it.
As you continue on chemo this can prvide additional info on tx remission or progression.
Hope you will put this test on your list to ask the Onc on your next visit.
Your help is needed in order to get this targeted blood test on its way to help monitor our her2 bc disease.
