There is one section of the article that caught my eye. It is the section that discusses the importance of folic acid to the growth of malignant cells. I have been giving my Mom 2.5 mg of folic acid/day, as part of her vitamin regimen. This is equivalent to the amount found in the Rx drug FoltX, which is used to treat hyperhomocysteinemia, which is a factor in heart disease and vascular disease. Now I must rethink that dose, or even supplementing her folic acid at all. Any thoughts or scientific info on the matter would be appreciated.
