There's something called DHA paclitaxel which does the same sort of thing and is in trials. It is a molecule of DHA (yes, the fish oil) attached to a molecule of paclitaxel (the active ingredient in taxol). The cancer drags in the oil bit because cancers also are gluttons for that (even though DHA generally chemosensitizes cancers) and the paclitaxel deploys when the cell sucks the DHA in. It is in trials already, but I can't remember whether phase II or III. I know in phase I there was hardly any neuropathy, even though the dosing of paclitaxel used was much higher than standard taxol.
