I am sorry to hear ole NED has decided to go dance with someone else right now but he'll come back. You have had the time in between to get your body back in shape for the fight and with all the new treatments (including carboplatin) I am sure ole NED will be running back shortly. Don't know if the last time you had weekly treatments, but they are so much easier on you and really seem very effective. I am just finishing up taxol/carboplatin/herceptin for liver mets as a precautionary measure. It basically knocked the crap out of those mets (largest being 6.8 cm) in 11 weeks of treatment.
