I've had pleural efusion to the left lung lobe, as a resut of lenlarged Ca nodes under my chest wall. It was not drained, but was progressing rapidly during A/C chemo which I stopped taking after 3 cycles. I asked the Onc to go on to herceptin instead, my next line of therapy. I was then given herceptin-taxol and the fluid literally evaporated 3-4 days later. It was unbelievable, but truely a relief. Hope herceptin works as well for you. Hugs, Christine
