A couple of years ago I had this same question. My teenage son was 14 and I was worried if I continued on with more uncomfortable treatments and surgeries for his sake I would begin to resent him. I have a pretty good idea of what you're going through.
My metastatic cancer took a turn for the better so, at the moment, it's not an issue. I think now, more than ever in your life, you need to put yourself and your needs first.
