Try to keep in mind that YOU didn't fail the combo, IT failed you. The next combe may be the one that works for you, if not then the Gemzar, and by then there will most likely be other options available, as new drugs are being introduced almost daily. One thing to keep an eye on are drugs being used for other types of cancer, as if they are getting good results oncologists will often prescribe them "off label", which is how many have been getting Herceptin in earlier stage disease outside of clinical trials, and if fact Navelbine was initially used for non-small-cell lung cancer then "crossed over" into breast cancer use. So don't despair, there are many options out there, and you have to fight for the sake of your family. Thinking of you today and sending thoughts of encouragement...
