The article is so full of information. I could not digest it in one sitting either.

For non-metastatic disease, take a look at Table 2 with the neoadjuvant phase III studies on page 3. It shows Overall pCR, then separates into HR positive and HR negative response rates.

The HR negatives show a high response rate of 63.2 with Docetaxel, Herceptin and Perjeta. A similar high response rate is obtained with Paclitaxel, Herceptin and Tykerb.

HR positive pCR was highest with Paclitaxel, Herceptin and Tykerb at 41.6 percent.

What I find most heartbreaking is table 3 on page 7 is that Letrozole and Herceptin for first line Metastatic Breast Cancer had a clinical benefit rate of 65 percent and helped women obtained 14.1 months of progression free survival - 6 months longer then the next combination, yet the trial closed early due to slow accrual.
