Thank you Jackie! The link you posted says the same thing I read when I did a search. It says a few days to a wk at most. This is going on 4 wks...that's why I was hoping someone on this board has ran into this before? Maybe it takes longer depending on where they send the sample...and what tests are ran on it?

As to my femur biopsy that sample was taken from a large mass they removed from my femur in Nov. 09 at City of Hope. Then later in May I went out to consult with Dr. Slamon and he wanted my entire tumor block from that surgery sent to USC. I was told that there were too many calcification in that tumor block...or it had not been handled properly? Back to my ilium...it was a straight bone biopsy to that area using CT scan...so it seems there should not of been a problem? But anything is possible. The sample was sent to "Caris"...maybe it's time I call them? It seems like I'm the only one that has waited this long?

10-24-09 Mass 6.4 x 4.7 cm on Rt. femur head.
11-19-09 RT. Femur surgery - Rod placed
12-7-09 Navelbine added to Herceptin/Zometa.
3-23-10 Ten days of rads to RT femur. Completed.
4-05-10 Quit Navelbine--Herceptin/Zometa alone.
5-4-10 Appt. with Dr. Slamon to see what is next? Waiting on FISH results from femur biopsy.
Results to FISH was unsuccessful--this happens less then 2% of the time.
7-7-10 Recurrence to RT axilla again. Back to UCLA for options.
