Re: TCH burning feeling in face Help
Princess,
I had the same problem except it happened after my 1st cycle of TCH. I blame it on the Taxotere! My face was fire engine red...it looked and FELT cooked. It was like one of the worse sunburns I'd ever had. It was so hot to the touch...it really hurt. The only thing my onc would tell me is to put a cold compress on my face and see if that helped.
I took a small towel and got it wet....put ice cubes in a bag and wrapped it up inside the towel and layed in on my face. It did help to take the fire out of it. Also you might try some aloe vera gel. Try to find some that is mainly pure aloe vera...it does help.
At first my chemo nurse, and onc thought since my skin was so fair that it was just the decadron making it look worse then normal. Everyone was shocked when they felt how hot my face actually was. I can tell you it did get better as time went on. It wasn't as hot...it's like my body adjusted to it. You only have one more cycle to go so hang in there. There is another women on here Ellie that experienced this also...she will probably chime in too. Try the cold compresses...it really does feel good.
Chelee
