Re: HER2+ and BRCA mutations - 1 or 2?
Hi,
Posting this WAY late ... but I'm also BRCA1+ and Her2+. Pretty unusual.

Jan 07 - Diagnosed w/ 5x7cm tumors, left breast
1/23/07 - Started AC, dose dense x 4
3/07 - Taxol and Herceptin for 12 weeks
discovered BRCA1 in early June
6/19/07 - Bilateral Mastectomy, Oopherectomy
pCR
Herceptin until March 2008

1/13/07 - Dx Invasive Breast Cancer, 5x7cm, multi-nodule Her2/neu+/ER-/PR-
1/23/07 - Started AC, dd x 4
3/07 - Taxol and Herceptin for 12 weeks
5/07 - Discovered BRCA1+
6/07 - Started Herceptin every 3 weeks until next March
6/19/07 - Bilateral skin-sparing mastectomies, BSO
(two sentinel nodes, seven additional removed), expanders placed
6/25/07 - Report in: Complete response to chemo!!! no cancer cells anywhere ...
8/07 - Decided not to do radiation
10/22/07 - Exchange surgery planned (for implants)
