Dear Danielle and Family,

I am speechless. I have not visited the site for some time, and when I finally decided to put my toe back in the pool I got smacked in the face with this horrible news. I am so very sorry that you and all of us have lost our hero.

I will never forget how stunned I was when a short time after I made my first desperate post on the website regarding my Mom's diagnosis, I received a call from Joe offering help and information. At that very moment, I felt my hopelessness, fear, and isolation change to hope and the will to fight. I will never forget him and Christine.

God Bless you Joe and Christine for all you have done and continue to do for those battling this disease, and those who love them. Thank you for all of your help and inspiration. May the Lord embrace you and your family.
