Remember Flashdance: " If you give up your dreams, you die"

Hi Friends, Ever since I was a little girl I have heard stories about Armenia, part of my ethnic heritage from my grandparents. In 2007, my younger daughter and hubby went there on a church sponsored Habitat trip. I did not go due to my stage 4 treatment and all of the side effects and risk of infection with travel, etc. Well, they left again for another trip yesterday, planned since Jan of this year.....After months of consideration and speculation in my own mind, and their wish that I join them, in May I asked my onc. about it. He said I should go, said I could handle it and sent me to an infectious disease doctor to be on the safe side. After a couple of shots, and my oncologists approval, I decided in late May to make the trip. I have only told a few people and was afraid to tell anyone for fear that I still might not be able to go. Well, it is a week away from my departure and I am so excited!!! I will join them for a week of touring in Armenia at the end of the Habitat work, then on to Paris(this former French teacher's dream) and then to Lourdes for those healing waters. I never thought this was possible for me to make this type of trip...he is even giving my stomach a tykerb break for 3 weeks. Just wanted you all, who mean so much, to know.....Ceesun
