Re: UK's NICE decides lapatinib not cost-effective, won't offer on NHS (only clin, tri
Hi
The recently elected government made an election promise to fund cancer drugs that had previously not been available.I have been told that this pledge does not come into force till April 2011.
In the meantime it's important that we keep pressure on to ensure this happens.
My onc is dismayed that this is the view NICE have taken AGAIN as it goes against the recommendations from the most respected UK breast oncologists.
one of the national newspapers is currently running a campaign to get tykerb for a young mum with brain mets.
Frustrated again!!
