Hugs are great. Group hug everyone !!
I have never been greeted upon entry in a department store in the U. S. I always enjoyed being greeted in stores and banks in Japan. Some offices send several members of the staff out to say "sayonara" to visitors when they leave. I just went to my organizational meeting today. Most of the staff where we had our meeting today is Japanese. The staff stood on the curb waving and bowing as we pulled away and turned onto the street.
