"All dogs go to heaven" = "All cats go to heaven"
My Father-in-law continues to feed the cats after my Mother-in-law passed away. Actually, he has allowed one of his neighbors - a new comer who is living all by himself - to refill the cat's bowel every day. The gentleman comes by twice daily and enjoys playing with the cats.
At first, it was just one stray cat that my Mother-in-law was feeding. Because it is an open country and they put the feed out under the porch, pretty soon whole bunch cats came (plus the Momma cat kept giving birth...)
My Mother-in-law's mind had been deteriorating because of Alzheimer's - but wasn't diagnosed at the time. My Father-in-law even allowed some of the cats to stay inside the house and spent money on treating worms and fleas - just because my Mother-in-law loved those kittens.
He then had to spend money on treating the fleas inside of the house. Once my Mother-in-law went to the nursing home, all the cats stayed outdoors. At night time, they either stay on top of the roof, under the floor of the storage shack, or inside one of the tree trunk.
Jack's Brother-in-law treasures his three-legged Dash-shound - it lost one of its legs after a lawn-mower accident. 'Princess' is a perfectly normal dog, just can't run very fast.
