The fire

Thank you for your inspirational posts. I love you all so very much.
Last night I spent part of the evening sitting in front of a crackling fireplace in the living room. I was thinking about how mesmerizing a fire could be...how you can watch it for hours. How is it that something so potentially dangerous and destructive can elicit such a sense of peace and calm? And I came to the realization that as destructive and overwhelming cancer has been to so many of us, it has also brought us here together...to times of peace, love, strength and wisdom...to the safety of God's light in the utter darkness.
As individuals struggle, and our world faces so many changes and unknowns, it seems appropriate for all of us to come together in hope, instead of fear...to sit before that fire and hold each other closely. Very closely.
Much love to you, Vickie
