Flori, First of all I am so very sorry to hear about the loss of your dog. My heart goes out to you...its so hard when we have to say goodbye to our pets. I don't care how long we have them, its never long enough. I hope the German Shepard turns out to be a good match for you.
In the last 3 yrs I've been on these boards I've never heard of anyone having a reaction like yours to the contrast. My goodness...that is just awful. My mother use to have attacks of blinking/flashing lights and she would lose her sight. It would scare her to death. They told her she was having a migraine without the headache. (Strange.) So I have a clue how frightening that must of been for you. You have been through quite a bit. I'm glad things have settled down and your feeling better now.
And congratulations on the PET scan. At least you got some good news in all of this.  Hang in there. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

9-28-09 Loading dose of Herceptin & started Zometa
9-29-09 Power Port Placement
10-24-09 Mass 6.4 x 4.7 cm on Rt. femur head.
11-19-09 RT. Femur surgery - Rod placed
12-7-09 Navelbine added to Herceptin/Zometa.
3-23-10 Ten days of rads to RT femur. Completed.
4-05-10 Quit Navelbine--Herceptin/Zometa alone.
5-4-10 Appt. with Dr. Slamon to see what is next? Waiting on FISH results from femur biopsy.
Results to FISH was unsuccessful--this happens less then 2% of the time.
7-7-10 Recurrence to RT axilla again. Back to UCLA for options.
