I don't think this is an insignificant question. My oncologist told me I could dye my hair any color I wanted, but after it grew back I hesitated for a year. Finally I was tired of being grey-white. I don't use permanent color. I get what my stylist calls color 1. It's temporary. It last about 6-8 weeks, so I guess it's more expensive. I dont' dye it black either. I use, believe it or not, a plum/purple color glaze.
