Hey darling girl

I had to write and lend my support. It is a crappy disease and the first year is the worst year because something medical is always going on. PLUS, its hard to be positive when you are having pain in the place that started the whole mess (your breast - nipple reconstruction) and that you are facing the last surgical leg of the journey. I can assure you of one thing though, the ooph is like nothing. You will be alittle tired and alittle sore. If you feel a bit nauseous in the recovery room, DON'T be brave. There is an anti nausea drug that they inject right into the IV and the effect is instanteous. Oddly, with all my breast surgeries I never felt sick afterwards but I did after the ooph. I braved it out and then later barfed and then they gave me that drug in the IV and I was off on my way home within 30 minutes. This is just a tip IF you feel alittle sick. You will be back on track in no time.

I just wanted you to know that I am thinking about you and your children. This is it Mimiflower girl! Some more Herceptin infusions to help you over that last hump and you're off on your own. Since you've been on your own before, you know you can do it again (and we will be there rooting for you).
