I'm glad everyone is posting their experience with the Tram surgery. I'm one of the lucky ones with no problems at all with my stomach - other than the unsightly scar from hip to hip and the numbess. And the corners look a little funny. I end up with the annoying drains in for weeks as well - some 3 to 4 weeks.
After seeing Madame Dubois post I will be careful about picking up heaving items. I didn't have any mesh as my PS advised against it.
I did have the problems with the partial loss so am a little bummed about the breast being smaller. On the bright side my breast surgeon did a skin sparing mastectomy so I don't have the huge scars - yet. When my PS does corrective surgery and then matches the other breast he will move the nipples up and use the anchor pattern. I am so not looking forward to more drains . . .
