Wow Terri, I am so sorry to hear that your sister has bc too. Good thing she is so faithful with her mammos; it sounds like it was caught very early.
You said that you were the first in the family to have bc. With both you and your sister now dx'd, it just may qualify you to be tested for the BRCA1 & BRCA2 genes. It is a simple blood test - the "hardest" part is filing out the massive paperwork detailing family history. I was tested (came out negative) because I have a lot of cancer (bc and other) in my immediate family. My insurance paid for the test. However, even though I tested negative, my daughter knows she has to be vigilent throughout her life and be checked often.
My heart goes out to you and your family. If your sister is anything like you she will do just fine. She is lucky to have you to help her along the way.

Dx: 11/23/05, Lumpectomy 12/12/05
Tumor 2.2 cm, Stage II, Grade 3, Sentinel Node biopsy negative
ER+ (30%) /PR+ (50%), HER2+++
AC X 4 dose dense, Taxol X 4 dose dense
Herceptin started with 2nd Taxol, given weekly until chemo done
then given every 3 weeks for one year ending on March 16, 2007
Radiation 30 treatments
Tamoxifen - 2 yrs (pre-menopausal)
May 2008 - Feb 2012 Femara
Aug 2008 - Feb 2012 Zometa every 6 months
March 2012 - Stop Femara, now Evista for bone strengthening
