Doreen, please keep in mind, esp if you are experiencing reduced saliva from the meds, that sucking on hard candies may make you very susceptible to cavities. So if you still need to suck on the candies, be as careful as you can to have meticulous oral hygiene with brushing, flossing and possibly adding on an oral irrigator. Also, a fluorided mouthrinse would help.
