Three Years....

To my dear sisters and friends,
Tonight I went out to dinner with my husband and son to celebrate my 3rd cancerversary. I could not believe that three years has already passed. I remember so clearly those early days and months. Searching and absorbing mass amounts of new information on breast cancer. It took months to
equip myself with the best possible information so that I could be my own best advocate. Looking back over the last 3 years I realized how much I have gained. That is not to say I was dancing with joy when I heard the diagnosis. But you learn that you are much stronger than you thought.
Because of cancer I have met the most remarkable people. Because of cancer there is no room for negativity in my life now. I appreciate the beauty of each day, no matter the weather. I look at the future filled with energy and eagerness. I am glad to be here among my sisters. Each one of you is special and dear. Thank you for sharing your stores, information, your difficult days and the joyful days. I clearly remember when I first discovered the board, for me it was like finding an oasis in the desert. I’m tremendously grateful for all I learned and the loving support I have received. I wish all of you peace, joy and most of all health.

Huge Hugs,
Jean
