I am glad I saw this. My oncologist is well respected and is director of pharma research at my cancer center. He has a lot of hope for Avastin like drugs. He is also a happier doc these days because more of his patients are doing well years out. He gets some of the gratification other docs feel in seeing their patients get well. As for "Minimal Toxicity" -- compared to what!! I know people on Avastin and there are certainly side effects. On the whole, this is great news. It's interesting that they are considering avastin for adjuvant therapy. That's the biggest news since Herceptin, IMHO.
